The WEST–B Reading and Writing subtests have been retired. See the Communication and Literacy Skills and Essential Academic Skills test pages for alternatives to this retired test.
The WEST–B Reading and Writing subtests have been adopted by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. These subtests can be taken as an alternative to the Communication and Literacy Skills test in order to fulfill licensure requirements.
