Termination

By accessing this website ("Site") and the Pearson ePortfolio system ("Services") contained on this site for the MTEL-Flex program, you agree you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions. You acknowledge your use of this Site and its Services are subject to these Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, and agree your use shall conform to these Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. By continuing to use this Site and its Services, you acknowledge that you understand, accept and agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use for this Site.
This website and Services are licensed or owned and maintained by NCS Pearson, Inc. (hereinafter "Pearson"). These Terms of Use apply to personal information that Pearson may collect or process in providing testing registration and testing services. Content created solely by site users, not including any embedded content owned by any third parties, and submitted through this site for review and scoring, shall remain the intellectual property of the individual that created such content. The Site, Services, and assessment related materials shall remain the intellectual property of Pearson, its licensors or Client, as applicable.
Purpose and Requirements. This site is intended to be used by higher education faculty and candidates as a source of information regarding the MTEL-Flex program, and as an electronic portfolio or artifact submission system in connection with the assessments. Candidates fulfilling a requirement for an educator preparation program and/or license may use this site to upload portfolio or artifact materials and submit to Pearson for scoring. In order to purchase services and register for official scoring, the candidates will be requested to provide: payment or credit card information, name, email address, address, phone number, date of birth, gender (optional), and Social Security number (only last four digits displayed). An account will be created with your email address which will be your username and you will be prompted to create a password. Do not share your username and/or password with others. Pearson will provide authorized users with access to the Site as required for completion of tasks assigned to such user.
Payment Methods. The fees for registering for MTEL-Flex services must be paid using a voucher and/or credit card (VISA or MasterCard only) or a debit or check card that carries the VISA or MasterCard logo and that can be used without the entry of a personal identification number (PIN). Bank cards without a VISA or MasterCard logo cannot be accepted. The merchant name that will appear on your credit card statement is "Eval Systems Test Fee." Information regarding refunds for withdrawal is available under Registration Policies on the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure website.
Acceptable Use of Site. Subject to these Terms of Use, you are granted, a personal, non-exclusive, non-assignable, and non-transferable license to access and use this site and Services for educational and non-commercial use only. Candidates will be required to purchase services before certain functionality on the site is available for use. Modifications of any materials on this site or use of the materials for any purpose other than as indicated on this site is a violation of Pearson's or third-party copyright and proprietary rights. You agree not to reverse engineer, duplicate, publish, modify, or otherwise distribute the materials on this site. You agree that you have all legal right, title, and interest to use and submit the materials you upload to this site. You agree that you have obtained appropriate authorization forms and releases required for portfolio or artifact content submitted or uploaded to this site.
Unlawful Use. As a condition of your use of this Site, you warrant to Pearson that you will not use this site for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by the Terms of Use. You agree not to use this Site in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair this site or interfere with any other party's use and enjoyment of this Site. You agree not to obtain or attempt to obtain through this Site any materials or information not intentionally made available to you through this site. When you register for the Services, you agree that Pearson may provide you with information and other materials regarding products, services, and other offers from time to time as described in the Privacy Policy.
