The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has adopted the National Evaluation Series™ tests listed in the right column of the table below. Starting October 6, 2026, each test may be taken as an alternative to the corresponding MTEL test listed in the left column to fulfill licensure requirements.
