The MoGEA assessment for MTEL remains available to Massachusetts candidates via online proctoring through the end of the regulatory pilot on June 30, 2025.
The MoGEA Reading Comprehension and Interpretation subtest and Writing subtest have been adopted by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. These subtests can be taken as an alternative to the Communication and Literacy Skills test in order to fulfill licensure requirements.
