RELEASE OF YOUR TEST RESULTS
Beginning with the October 28, 2011, score report date, candidate score reports will be released electronically on the score report date published in "Test Dates." Score reports will be available for 45 days as PDF documents, which you may view, print, and save for your records.
Score reports are provided in multiple ways:
- Score reports by e-mail. Candidates who register online can sign up to receive their score reports by e-mail. Score report e-mails are sent beginning at 5:00 p.m. eastern time on the score report date. (This service is available to candidates who registered after July 18, 2011, for test dates on or after September 24, 2011.)
- Score reports online. You can access your score report online beginning at 10:00 p.m. eastern time on the score report date by selecting "Score Reporting" on the MTEL web site (available on the score report date and for 45 days).
- Score report by mail. If you register by mail or telephone, your score report will also be sent to you by U.S. mail on the score report date.
Your score report will be sent to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and automatically added to your licensure file once you apply for a license, based on your social security number or Department-issued identification number. Your score report will be sent automatically to the Massachusetts institution(s) you indicated during registration. In addition, if you give explicit permission, your educator preparation institution will also receive the last five digits of your social security number.
You may also access your MTEL testing history reported as pass/fail status on the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Licensure web site at www.doe.mass.edu/educators; select "ELAR." If you have not already done so, you will have to create an ELAR profile.
Your score report is for your information only; do not submit it with your application for licensure. Keep your score report for your permanent records.
Under some circumstances, score reports may be delayed. For example:
- Score reports for newly developed or redeveloped tests may be delayed in order to set standards. Any such delays are noted on the schedule published in "Test Dates" and in "Test Selection."
- Some individuals' score reports may be delayed due to problems with registration or other matters.
In addition, your score report will be delayed if there are problems with your payment, and your test results may be permanently voided if you have any outstanding balance owed by you to Evaluation Systems after a test administration for which you were registered. See "Test Fees and Payment Policies" for more information.
